We became a separate entity from Rubbermaid, Inc. and a new 145,000 squarefoot plant was built in Winchester, Virginia to manufacture and market products for commercial and institutional markets. The iconic BRUTE® container was born.

Manufacture and bring to market our first resin mop bucket.

Following a decade of highly successful growth and development, we begin expanding outside of the Winchester area and build a second facility in Cleburne, Texas.

Newell Brands acquires Rubbermaid Commercial Products, marking the beginning of a period of change within the organization.

We introduce our innovative WaveBrake® Mop Bucket to the market. Designed to tackle the common problem of splashing in traditional mop buckets, this new model incorporates internal baffles that effectively break up waves, resulting in a 40% reduction in splashing.
2005
We develop the revolutionary 44-gallon Vented BRUTE®, a groundbreaking container in its class. By incorporating innovative venting channels, we made liner removal up to 50% easier.

We acquire United Metal Receptacle, a producer of decorative waste management and smoking management products and accessories for the commercial facilities market.
